When making changes to the config.ini file to upload to a UPS can I just upload the part that I changed and will it merge with the current config.ini or do I have to upload the whole config.ini file? Example I need to change the IP address of a AP9631 NMC, can I just upload the [NetworkTCP/IP] section of the config.ini file or do I need to upload the whole config.ini file?
I have some mass changes to do and I think it will be easier to upload via ftp vs doing everything via the web interface.

no, you can upload partial sections or only certain keywords. you just need to make sure if you do one keyword, you have the section at the top.
for example, you can't just upload:
BootMode=DHCP
You'd need to put
]Network/TCPIP[ (please note i swapped bracket positions so the forum would not format this improperly.
BootMode=DHCP
so then the card knows what section to apply that to. the card will not modify anything you don't edit in the file.

Ok so if I need to change the ntp time on the NMC's, I would upload:
]SystemDate/Time[
NTPPrimaryServer=192.168.1.1
NTPSecondaryServer=192.168.1.5
The above part only will the file still be called config.ini?
(i swapped the brackets)

yep that is right you'd upload the file with the section and then the keywords. and no, you can name it whatever you want as long as it ends in .ini.
