This section describes the status of UPS attributes, such as load and input/output voltage.
Status
Description
Input
The input voltage (in Volts) of the utility power connected to the UPS.
Output
The output voltage (in Volts) of the UPS to the connected devices.
Load
The percentage of the UPS rated load that is consumed by the devices attached to the UPS. If this level reaches 80%, consider reducing the connected load.
Sensitivity
Power input conditions on your site may affect the number of times that your UPS switches to battery power. Your UPS switches to battery power to ensure clean power is being transferred to your connected IT equipment. If your connected equipment is more tolerant to input power fluctuations, you can try reducing the power quality setting on your UPS. You should see fewer switches to battery power, and fewer on-battery and online power events.
Normal:The UPS will go on battery power more often to provide the cleanest power supply to the connected equipment.
Low:The UPS will tolerate more fluctuations in power and will go on battery power less often. If the connected load is sensitive to power disturbances, set the sensitivity to Normal.
NOTE: To use this setting, your device must be on a Standard or Advanced plan and SmartConnect Access must be configured to ‘Enable with Crtl’ on your Smart-UPS. This can be manually enabled via the UPS device’s LCD screen. For more information, see your UPS operation manual.
