Support on KNX Dimmer not connected with Light

Hi

We are working on Luxury residential automation project which is Schneider KNX Based automation in Bangladesh. Customer used FLOS brand light shade with driver where we used Universal dimmer master (MTN6710-0102) in project but when pressed the button lights is ON after that lights automatically OFF with error indicator blinking.

Please find the following link for your more understanding.

Hi Samimul,

many THANKS for the video which shows clearly the behaviour of the connected ballasts.
As the ERR-Led is just flashing ones and not permanently ... it could indicate that we have some kind of overload?!

Can you double check your loads with the ones specified below?

Hi Samimul,

just to be sure that I understand your actions in the right way ...
- Your lights still doesnt work with Spacelogic Dimmer Master (MTN6710-0102)

- Your lights in general ok and functional validated by the use of our 4 Channel low load dimmer (MTN6710-0004). I guess you have used only 2 out of the 4 channels ... right?

In case I am right .. then it seems the load of the used lights are to high for our Spacelogic Dimmer Master (MTN6710-0102).

Could you please share more details about your loads?

Kind regards
Thomas

Hi, sometimes the problem is becouse LED lights in general on market are fully inductive and controller isn't able to detect as a correct load, sometimes is the reason of warning. If you turn on an off it works fine, but light error is reporting a problem.

One of the different solutions to improve this error is put a resistor in parallel with load like this:

esteve_budia_0-1703226770986.png

This is a 14kOhms 5W 230V Resistor.

The light regulation even comes more stable with it, but you are adding 3W to your channel load when using at 100%.

Hi Thomas,

Please see the following feedback

1. Your lights in general ok and functional validated by the use of our 4 Channel low load dimmer (MTN6710-0004). I guess you have used only 2 out of the 4 channels ... right? Yes

2. we used LED light which each light 2.7W and 900mA  is connected Spacelogic Dimmer Master (MTN6710-0102).

Also, please see the following link for your more understanding.

we need your positive support regarding this issue to solve it for our customer.

Hello Samimul,

I got the feedback from our development team that we faced already problems with this type of LED-Driver you are using. The recommendation is to install an external resistor in parallel. For e.g. the one mentioned above by Esteve.

Kind regards
Thomas

Hi @Thomas_Rohde  & @esteve_budia

As per your instruction, we have tested at site and our office using resistor in parallel with lights as per below link where light is on/off and dimming perfectly but resistor is over heated can't touch hand and error is shown. we used 10Kohms 5w 220v resistor for test purpose. Because we have supplied 2CH dimmer and Flos brand lights with driver. customer always pressurized us to solve the issue.

Now what we will do. please suggest your valuable feedback for us.

Hello Samimul,

if it doesnt work properly with the proposed resistor ...
Another option is to use a dedicated compensation module (CCT90501).
