Strange DALI Issue

Hello Dears,

I have a very strange DALI issue in a site.

I am using the MTN6725-0101 SpaceLogic KNX DALI GW.

There are random issues like:

some ECG which part of one group (so in KNX side I cannot control ECG itself) turn off/on 

Some time KNX scenes (built on SpaceLYnk) turn off/on ECGs which are part of DALI group, while Scene is not controlling than Group at all!

there is something strange happened in the DALI BUS, how to figure out the issue, and where to start?

this sounds indeed prety strange.
How many ECGs you have connected to this line?
Would it be possible to make a complete new installation to make sure that, for whatever reason, there is no address misshandling?
Is this only by one DALI-GW within this project or is it the same for several GWs?

1- I have about 50 ECGs on this DALI-GW

2- I will try this option.

3- Its appear clear for this one, its a small project with only 2xDALI- GW.

So fist I will try to replace the DALI-GW, it might be defected.

But could Cabling, Wiring or loose connection in DALI Bus, Bad ECGs quality lead to similar issue?

While for part of the DALI BUS the contractor use the standard KNX Cable for DALI!

Any suggestions that would shorten the hard work are appreciated.

Hello IC_Systems,
So it means ... 1 DALI-GW is working fine and the second one shows this strange behaviour.
By the same wiring (standard KNX Cable for DALI) I guess.
This points in the direction of the DALI-GW. Interesting would be if you exchange the GWs ... if the strange behaviour follows to the section which is currently OK.

Regarding the cableing ...
The KNX cable is only used for DALI? Or KNX also on the second pair?

Taking "its a small project with only 2xDALI- GW" into considertation, means you have short cable distances (by 0,8mm2 arround 150m). Which is of course NOT the normal way of installation.

So it is clear that the wiring plays an important role. Loose connections should lead to the fact that it is sometimes working ... sometimes not.

Regarding "Bad ECGs quality"
This is very often a big problem and can lead to the fact that you save money by buying this devices, while spending money for hunting of commissioning problems.

yes,

1- there was a loose connection on the bus.

2- Download the DALI Scenes again, while there were some issues with the scenes, after redownload its worked, but I moved the scenes into SpaceLYnk, to terminate the issue permanently.
