Master/Slave DALI motion sensor on MTN6725-0101

Hi

I can not find any documentation of how to configure DALI motion sersors as Master/Slave.

Does anyone have a KNX project with 2 or more DALI motion sensor are used as Master/Slave?

Or do any have some instructions how to setup the one as master an how to setup the last as slaves?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently trying to set up a DALI sensor with the Master/Slave function. Unfortunately, the manual only provides a very brief description, and the e-learning course doesn’t really cover this topic either.

I was wondering if anyone here has some experience with this setup and could share some insights, best practices, or even example configurations.

Thanks in advance for your help!

@KNXJensen @sesa138580_brid

Have you tried to enable the External Presence on the master sensor (MB1 in this case)?

And then link the objects from the slave(s) (MB2 + MB3 in this case)

to the external object of the master

and link the switching object of your master to your light source input

I would set the delay of the slaves relative short, or at least shorter then the time of the master to avoid that the master is done with the switching but the slave is still in countdown before sending the new movement.

See sample project in the attachment (not tested as i don't have 2 sensors)

Hi Erwin

This is not my project. I’m working on behalf of an installer who carried out the work, but he’s having trouble getting it to run properly, so I’m assisting him.

The installer plans to change the application from 7311/2.0 to 7311/2.1 and will check how it works.
He will also set up the master PIR and slave PIR as suggested, and verify that the slave operates at half the time of the master.

He will get back to me once the testing is done.

Best regards,
Tommi

Hi Erwin,

I haven’t been on site myself; I’ve only communicated with the customer.
Yes, I already mentioned the points you suggested, but I just wanted to check if there were any other options beyond the obvious ones.

The customer has tested the settings now, and everything is working.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Best regards,
Tommi
