Heat control with MTN6730-0002, 4" knx display and Pro-T switches

I need help for heating control.

What I use - heat controller MTN6730-0002, 4 inch KNX display, Prot-T switch with temperature sensor.

In house is used water floor heating with heating collector and 230V heating heads.

I need winter/summer mode change ( I use one group for it).

I need to see and control every room temperature. For room is used 4" knx display (living room). Plan to use internal sensor and thermostat for temperature selection. Now easiest variant is needed - no any change of modes (comfort, away, night, etc.). Thermostat temp changes aprox form 17 till 26 Celsius degrees.

For simple rooms (boiler room, garage etc. is used PRO-T switches with 1-4 knobs and internal temperature sensor. Needed temperature is taken from visualization (SpaceLogic device is used for it). So I plan to use internal controllers of MTN6730-0002.

Temperature control with 4" displays is more or less working. Not working with Pro-T switches.

Also totally for me not clear manual mode settings/working. Standard cycle - 20 minutes?

What does mean in heater controller this:

Behavior at the end of permanent manual control during bus operation - no change (my choice) or output tracking (other possible). May be there some problem?

What is correct configuration of device if I need close or open some valves in manual mode (may be longer than 20 minutes manual operation cycle set by default)? (This is useful if we don't now correct location of heating pipes in the floor, in one building no heating project was provided,,).

So I need check of my config by experienced engineer. Just first project using such devices..

Also would be good to see separate examples with other configuration variants ( for me at least interesting heating control with possibility change heating modes (comfort, away, night, frost protection) and user possibility change modes setpoints).

BR, Alexander

Yes you are wright. This actuator has 6xinternal PID regulation. You need to setup it as flooheating 5K/200min. the valv opening should be 0 to 100% (send by thermostat through pid depending ambiant temp). There also is an object for forced value (for test I guess)

You can use Wiser4knx to send a value direct to the valve on the valv control object.

You can also do PID control in the wiser4knx, or buy another device with pid control only.

In general, avoiding mode control for customer. It s not as easy for them. I prefer only temp setpoint use for them.

Hi, thank you, I just plan to use I have, unfortunatelly for first time to many settings in valve controller, I want to use basic. I know that internally device has 6 separate controllers. But not sure heating now working as needed. Also for me not totally clear what settings should be for valve opening (now I set 70%) and period of heating (now default 20 min). I have water floor heating, collector and 230V AC valve heads.. Just no expirience in this for now..

BR, Alexander.

Hi,

my question still is actual for me. May be somebody can share .knxprog file with working example of MTN6730-0002 and ProT swich or 4'' knx display? I need simple heating control with setpoint from termostat and visu and summer/winter switch..
