ESF file with cirylic symbols import into homeLYnk

Hello,

When you import an esf file with the names of objects in Russian, we get the squares in place of object names in the HL (see attached file).

Is there a way to solve this problem without renaming all the objects manually?

Kind regards,

Aleksandr,

Hi,

keep in mind firstly set correct character settings to Cyrilic -> Windows-1251

after that you can make Encoding >> Convert to UTF-8

Hello Alexander,

here I attach a file, which you can restore and it works fine.

The problem of your file is encoding ( it is encoded in type 1251).

You can open the file in Notepad++ and select Encoding >> Convert to UTF-8.

Then save the file and you can use it in homeLYnk.

I do not know, when is the original encoding of the esf file coming from,  but is most probably derived from language settings of your Windows PC or ETS.

Best Regards

Tomas
