The following products are obsolete since 2022:
The 5500NAC2 SpaceLogic C-Bus Network Automation Controller is the alternative or replacement for the 5500NAC and LSS5500NAC. Similarly, the 5500AC2 SpaceLogic C-Bus Application Controller is the alternative or replacement for the 5500SHAC and LSS5500SHAC.
The obsolete products are still receiving firmware updates and fixes. Currently, the firmware for these devices is up to version 1.18.0.
Here are the links to the current product information:
You can compare the devices using these links.
A very basic explanation of the differences is that the 5500NAC2 is mostly targeted at commercial buildings using C-Bus. The 5500NAC is used as an edge device to C-Bus networks, offering services from Micro BMS to BACnet IP with 2000 points for integration of C-Bus into BMS such as EcoStruxure Building Operation (EBO). Additionally, the 5500NAC has greater support for integrating services from Modbus RTU and TCP to C-Bus and BACnet.
The 5500AC2 is intended for general applications and management of the C-Bus system, thus having reduced support for Modbus and BACnet. In general, the 5500AC2 is suitable for most residential applications of C-Bus as well as general applications in buildings.
The latest firmware and feature set for the 5500NAC2 and 5500AC2 is version 2.0.0 and can be found from the links above.
The role of the obsolete products was very much the same however they had less capacity for BACnet and Modbus as well as total Objects under control, due to there lower Processor Performance and Memory capacity.
