Hello All, has anyone had success with getting Hikvision cameras onto an IP touch panel with a NAC/SHAC?
I have managed to get one to work using a frame and Url link that refreshes but it's only works on an iPad and not the IP touch panel. Any suggestions or a better way of doing it???
Url I used to get the iPad working = http://<Login>:<Password>@<Camera IP>/streaming/channels/1/picture?videoResolutionWidth=640&videoResolutionHeight=360

Hi Craig
Did you try at all with the Hikvision Local Source URL with no password
http://<IP address of IPC>:<HTTP port>/ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/httpPreview
Just to ensure that the authentication is not the blocking point

Hello Mr_C. Yes, I have tried with no password and I'm pretty sure it's the authentication blocking it.
On the IP Touch Panel I get a pop-up message saying (Browser reports an authentication attempt failed)
On the iPad it asks for the login details and it starts working fine.
Do you know of a way to get the IP Touch Panel to accept the login details? It doesn't seem to like it when I put them in the URL.

Hello Mr_C
Just closing this solution. I have managed to get it working on a iPad but looks like the authentication doesn't work on the IP Touch Panel.

Hi Craig
Sorry for delay in response. I was looking for alternate solutions worth trying.
A few Items to check of the List if your still interested.
1. Ensure that in the controller visualization configurations. "Allow external resources (JS/CSS)" is enabled.
2. In visualization, use a frame and not the camera item. (note this is only good for internal network devices)
3. This link may provide you with more options and details for streams available for your model of HikVision equipment. Complete Hikvision IP Camera Setup Guide - ONVIF, RTSP and Tutorial Included.
4. If turning of Authentication is not possible, you may try this kind of format to login
http://<IP address of IPC>:<HTTP port>/ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/httpPreview?user=uuuu&pw=pppp
or
http://login:pass@<IP address of IPC>:<HTTP port>/ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/httpPreview
you can replace these options with any path that you find in the link from point 3. you are looking for Mjpeg or Jpeg or Snap shot options, but not RSTP
5. if none of this work then final options is to make the controller a form of proxy where it gets the image from the controller and then provides the image locally, however to do this it would be recommended to use external storage (USB thumb drive) else you risk wearing out the internal storage. If you want to venture on this path. Please let me know,

Hello Mr_C
I have got this all working on the IP Touch Panel now! I ended up making a proxy on a raspberry pi. So the pi pulls a RTSP stream from the Hikvision NVR and handles the authentication and then it converts the stream to HTTP.
That was not fun but it works with a URL frame (no refresh needed) in the NAC with a resolution of 1280x720P with MJPEG Encoding.
