This can now be achieved easily by using Modbus RTU ( RS485) or Modbus TCP (ethernet) compatible meters connecting back to a 5500NAC controller (with built-in web server).
The 5500NAC provides trending / logging ability for the modbus meters also and can export the trend logs to an external location such as FTP server or embedded a link into an email.
5500NAC also has built-in BACnet Server for 500 Bacnet points, allowing a BMS (BACnet IP compatible) to retreive and display the infromation from the meters and also C-bus on your BMS.
There is a smaller capacity domestic unit called a 5500SHAC, however that only supports 6 Modbus Devices and 50 BACnet points, hence the 5500NAC is the better option for most modbus metering type projects.
