TESYS T LTMR LTME -fault code 65 expantion moudule port fault

Hello
We have got a( LTM R PROFIBUS DP Controller and LTM E Expansion Module ).
We connected LTMR to fildbus network and set the LTMR parameter by TCSMCNAM3M002P cable (somove)and we could start and stop electromotor Through the network.
But the problem is when we connect TCSMCNAM3M002P cable to HMI port on expantion moudule , LTMR becomes faulty(code 65=expantion moudule port fault ) and if we disconnect and power cycle , LTMR works correctly.
And also we just connected cable to HMI port on LTMR Without LTME , there was no problem.
we tested it by new LTMR and LTME , again LTMR becoms faulty.
finaly we replaced the cable with new one but the problem didnt solve.
Please let me know if there is a solution for that.
thank you very much.

Hi @Mohamadmrf ,

Hope you are very well.

Please are you using the connector LTMCC004?

This item is highly recommended as it guarantees the precise alignment and physical "joint" of both LTMR with LTME. In my experience this is the problem the result in fault code 65.

When installing this connector you must hear the "click" sound it makes as a proof of proper installation.

If you are using cable, the reference LTM9CEXP10 should be used:

Hope this helps.

Hi ,Neide
Good day.

We were able to find the problem.
The problem is related to the cable(TCSMCNAM3M002P).(atached pictuer )
We tried with another cable and there was no problem.
The interesting thing is that we tried with 3 cables. And only one cable makes LTME and LTMR work properly.
And we can even connect to all LTMR without LTME with two other cables. And there is no problem.
Do you know what is the reason?
Best Regards,

Mohamad

Hi @Mohamadmrf ,

I am happy it did work with another TCSM cable.

It is not usual that it does not work, I have old ones that has been used for more than 10 years without any issue.

If you have other devices like ATV, ATS, etc, I recommend that you test these malfunction cables with them to make sure the issue remains or not.

Best Regards,

Neide
