Hi
Bought a ATV630 about a year ago, to control the speed of a fan. (I know probably overkill)
So for the last year I've been adjusting the Hz (fan speed) by hand on the device's it self.
However the plan was to automate this proces.
The idea is when the temp. is at 35°c I need about 10Hz and when we reach 80°c or more, we go to 50Hz.
And off course gradually increase or decrease in between the 2 temps.
I have a PT100 censor.
Long story short 🙂
Can I do this on the ATV it self, or is it better to use a Arduino of Raspberry pi?
Thanks for you're help.

This is only possible if you use a Converter Temp / 0-10V or 4..20mA. The problem is you could use every Analog Input as source for the acutal value of the intgrated PID. But you could conigure only in that case 0-10V/4..20mA. The Analog input support in general temperature. But the configure for PID did not support this. As additional comment the accuracy of the temp input of ATV Process is for a control function really inaccuracy. (+/-4K).
You could solve this problems if you use a Harmony Converter like

This is a type of regulation you can perform with the ATV process, I advise you to have look on ATV600 programming manual and you will see on PID regulation this possibility. Another way is to look for this video talking on PID regulation with ATV process...
