Windows security updates

Do the windows security and essential patches (MS SQL and Windows Server 2012 R2 security updates) will affect SmartConnector services and Database ?

As far as I am aware, the Windows updates/ SQL Updates should not affect Smart Connector runtime. 

Please let us know if you notice something different.

Apology for this very late feedback as customer did not informed me on that concern since that time. Periodically windows/SQL updates do not impact Smart connector application as far now for this particular site.
