SBO integration with Avigilon API

Trying to connect SBO with Avigilon API.

I am not clear how to set it up in SBO, the API for avigilon is available.

Hi Mustafa,

It all depends on what you want to do. I am not familiar with Avigilon, but based on your images you would need to create a Smartconnector extension that uses their API in the way you need. Realistically this requires prior software development experience.

Someone might have already created a solution you could create, but I am not aware of one. Someone else might have more information here.

Hi Mustafa,

From what I can see, there is no easy way to do this with only SBO/EBO.

As mentioned before, you would need to use Smartconnector and a custom extension to act as a middle man between the systems. You could do this by getting the values/alarms you need in your extension and exposing them in a Smartconnector EWS server and connect to that EWS server with the SBO/EBO EWS client. 

This is not trivial work(as in if there is no ready-made extension available it would need to be developed) and would need to be done by a software developer, either within Schneider or external.

What could be a solution is to use EcoStruxure Security Expert, there is a Avigilon module available for this, and via the existing SmartConnector for Security Expert we might be able to integrate what you need, however i'm not fully know with any limitations but @AdamWright  should know this. Adam do you see limitations on receiving status and alarms of cameras through the Avigilon module in Security Expert and publish it to EBO via the Security Expert SmartConnector?

@mustafakamalm07  I have attached the latest version of the application note for Avigilon which we can integrate using Security Expert software. I have checked in Security Expert and I can not see a way of linking a camera alarm to an output as you would require this so that the points could be exposed via EWS. The camera alarms are used in Security Expert to trigger an event. The SmartConnector which is mentioned above is for linking Security Expert with EBO and is available on the Exchange market place.
