Installation and Extension Market

I think it would be really great if the process of instalation of an extension was made more friendly for an integrator point of view. As a developer I would like to deploy a solution as an installable file, that could have an UI to help the integrator customize and maybe also license the product.

Actually why not a market? I thought that the web site SmartConnector Server  was for that purpose also, but I now see that it is only to ask for Licenses. The SmartConnector Portal could connect to the market and install directly the extensions available, including licensing the solution.

SmartConnector Server was initially envisioned to be what the  SmartConnector Marketplace is. However having the marketplace and this developers forum inside of Exchange was a requirement we were given.  That is why there is (currently) only a License Depot in SmartConnector Server. 

We have been discussing integrating the the Marketplace and SmartConnector Server in some fashion to do what you are referring to but we have been waiting for the Marketplace to gain the traction necessary to make that development effort worthwhile.
