Hello to group,
using the libraries of SmartConnector we are saving manually historical data for a specific processor. Analyzing the SQL database I can see that the data are saved correctly. However, when the historical data are loaded in EBO I can see a difference of 2 hours (the data in SBO arrive 2 hours later, with a timestamp different of 2 hour).
A first estimation is the change between UTC and CEST which is 2 hours. Do you have an indication on how to solve this matter?
I attach an example of how the data are saved in the database.
SmartConnector Version 2.3.118
SBO version 1.9.3.24
Thank you in advance
Sotirios

Hi Sotirios,
You are correct, both EWS and EBO use UTC behind the scenes for time stamp transfer.
Are you saving your manual timestamps with UTC or CEST?
If you are saving your timestamps in CEST, you will need to convert it to UTC before saving it in the Smart Connector database.
Also, EBO will display all times converted from UTC for the timezone of the WorkStation that has logged into it.
Best Regards,
-Jeff

Hello Jeff,
I have tested the change of timestamp from local (CEST in my case) to UTC and I can see the data correctly arriving on my workstation/ webstation.
I will consider this to update my source codes to adjust for historical data and real-time timestamp variables from the SmartConnector database.
Thank you for the help
Best regards
Sotiris
