Hi,
When the Update processor of our EWS server is stopped (in the SmartConnector), we change the state of all value items to "Offline".
The problem is that the EBO Watch pane doesn't show any indication to this state. When the State is set to "Error", we do see the indication in the EBO Watch pane. See the attached screen capture.
Is this a correct behavior? Should we set the state to "Error" when the processor is stopped?
Thanks.
Mike

Hi Jeff,
Thank you for your answer. See the attached screen capture. The left Thermometer is when I stop the Update processor. So I assume that the "Offline" state is OK.
Thank you.

Mike

Hi Michael,
I am not actually sure what the expected behavior in EBO is for an 'Offline' EWS point. That said, I do know that Error shows the red X or caution symbol in the watch window.
That said, I would suggest running a test. Create a simple graphic in EBO, and bind the 'offline' EWS point to it. Does the show a giant red X over the graphic item?
Best Regards,
-Jeff
