Tado vs Drayton Wiser
Wondering if anyone has any insights into this as i'm struggling to choose
Both systems basically do what I want - I have a Baxi Gas combi boiler that I would like to control over OpenTherm (i've already checked and it's supported). Current system is a basic on/off 230v thermostat and manual TRVs on each rad, except the one in the hallway where the thermostat is and towel rads in bathrooms.
I will add a couple of smart TRVs right away - I am thinking the best place to put them is rooms that do not get used on some days (e.g. office at weekend) and see how I get on
Cost wise both systems are about the same if you shop around
I have really good wifi coverage in my property - i'm using a commerical-grade AP mounted to a ceiling in the centre of the property and it's mostly stud walls anyway
