A Conundrum
Christmas is a time for puzzles, so here's one for you...
Suppose that you have created the following schedule:
from time: 09:00 temp target: 19C
from time: 12:00 temp target: 20C
At 10:00 you go into the room, decide that it's too cold and increase the temp target (manual change in app, not a boost) to 21C. When the time reaches 12:00, what will the temp target be?
If you think it's 20C then you're correct. Regardless of how you had changed the temperature before it will apply the next schedule event at the appropriate time.
Now suppose that you have created the following schedule:
from time: 09:00 temp target: 20C
from time: 12:00 temp target: 20C
At 10:00 you go into the room, decide that it's too cold and increase the temp target (manual change in app, not a boost) to 21C. When the time reaches 12:00, what will the temp target be?
If you think it's 20C then you would be wrong - it will stay at 21C.
According to support, this is normal/correct behaviour. So my question is simply this: under what logic does this make any sense whatsoever?
I've spent a lifetime working in IT and it seems absurd to me. I have a friend who is a professor of electronic/electrical engineering, and he is equally puzzled. It can be worked around by setting a different temp target at 11:59, but that just makes the schedule unnecessarily complicated for most users, and hard to manage for everybody.
