**_chinniwhites: I want to use M-series radios in a scada system. Do I need to use an E-series radio as a base radio for all my M-series remotes or can I use a M-series radio as my master?_**

mchartrand: Hello, You do not need an E-Series as a base radio for the M-Series. You can use an M-Series as both a sender or receiver (Master or Remote) of serial data messages. Thanks!
