PowerLogic T500 - is seamless redundancy possible?

Greetings and hope you are doing well.

I have a customer query asking for seamless redundancy of the substation RTU, where I am proposing PowerLogic T500. The customer specifications says "The devices shall be configured in a primary/backup arrangement, ensuring seamless failover (no interruption to operation) from primary to backup (hot standby) RTU if the primary were to fail."

Could you please help me know -

1 - Does PowerLogic T500 support Seamless Redundant switching?

2 -  If not, what is the failover time for the PowerLogic T500 substation RTU?

In hot-standby redundancy scenarios, the CPU taking over must initialize from scratch. Consequently, the switchover time depends on the number of IEDs and their communication protocols. To minimize this transition period, we offer a powerful feature called HOT Mode.

This mode ensures the standby CPU continuously synchronizes all CoreDB data points with the active CPU in real time. When a handover occurs, the new CPU assumes control with the latest system state and immediately reports to SCADA systems. While the process is highly optimized, it may not be entirely seamless—but HOT Mode significantly reduces downtime and ensures a faster, more reliable takeover.
