P3 U30 communication control via modbus TCP

Dear All

I’m working on a project the power feeder protection use P3 U30. And the vendor provide a data list on feedback and control using modbus tcp.

I’m managed to get all feedback and also send the control command using object1 in device. The modbus frame write using fc 6 and is observed success by wire shark. Also the select command is reset after execute command is sent. So I think the command is received by the device. However the circuit breaker is not act at all. Is there any settings to block communication command? Manual operate is Ok. And when testing communication command remote signal is showed at the display.

Hello John:

Sorry I can not view the picture attached, my view as this:

Chunmei_Yang_0-1712820535288.png

Here is a demonstration of remote control procedure for your reference.

1,Current object1 state is '0' at open state, perform close select obj1, write 1 at register 2509:

Chunmei_Yang_1-1712820561166.png

2,After close selection response ok, then Perform execute operation obj1, write 1 at register 2510:

Chunmei_Yang_2-1712820591005.png

Then obj1 close command send successfully. the open process is same.

To be noted the necessary conditions for a successful control  :

1, correct register address

2, Object state should at close when perform open control, at open when perform close control.

3, at remote condition.

If it still not work, Could you pls change another client to test the remote control function?

I hope these can help.

BR.

Chunmei
