HI
P116 A1N6N2x115xx1x by micro USB cable , EASERGY Studio V9.3.7
P116 unrecognized device, no driver, the same PC and SW on W10 months ago was OK.
Q1: How to update driver ?
Q2: How to check, the driver is OK, before intervention, when device is only on customer site hundreds of km away ?

Very rare to receive questions about driver.
Because normally if Easergy Studio is properly installed, we should not have a problem on drivers.
The latest Easergy Studio version is 9.3.10(which can be downloaded from link https://www.se.com/au/en/product-range/61035-easergy-studio/?parent-subcategory-id=87301&filter=busi...), I may suggest we can try to use this latest version.
And mostly the problem I heard is that the data model of P116 is not installed in data model manager. So we also should confirm that the P116 data model is available in data model manager.
Another point is that sometimes I received problems to connect to P116 which caused by a Windows language setting, maybe I also suggest to check this point as well.
If above items can't solve the problem, then I think the last thing we can check the driver.
As I know, the P116 device is using FTDI chip driver, and how to download and install the driver is clearly mentioned in the website(Drivers - FTDI).
And regarding the last question, how to verify the driver in the computer, sorry, it is a little difficult question to me, because as I know there are a lot of files need to check. For us, the simple way is to connect to a P116, but maybe it is difficult for you, because maybe you don't have other P116 with you. But as I know, if you have P3 relay with you, can also try to connect P3, because FTDI is a very famous chip, many devices are using this FTDI chip.
Hope this can help.
Best regards,
Frank

Hello,
Thank you for the exhaustive and detailed answer. Especially the last part.
I downloaded the new studio, when I get a chance I will test the driver with P3.
Have a nice day Karel Poledník

Sorry for interrupt, I am from technical support team, I am a little interested in what is the final root cause in your case, may I know finally is your problem solved or not? If solved, could you please share with me how your problem is solved? And by the way, in the beginning you mentioned that your laptop can't connect with P116, could you please share with us what alarm is showing in your laptop when failing connected to P116 relay?
Then with the clear failure phenomenon and the solution, maybe I can learn the experience from your case and help with more other customers in future.
In the end, I would like to share with you a way of getting technical support from Schneider, if you have technical questions regarding our Schneider product, you can try to raise a ticket in our website https://www.se.com/ww/en/work/support/country-selector/contact-us.jsp, I am not sure community or technical ticket which one will reply faster😅, maybe this is just for your information.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Frank
