Easergy Micom P139 - Power on test Fault

Hello,

We have an issue on site with Micom P139.

After power it up, only message "Power-on test" appears and this message stays on.

Relay is not functional and we cant connect trough front port.

Restart does not fix the problem.

Does someone have idea what could be the problem?

Best regards,

Hello Ivan,

actually, this means that during the power on self-check a defect occurs, that stops the processor from regular boot-up and even prevents proper error logging.

As professional recommendation I can only state that this device should be returned to repair center for corrective actions.

A trained engineer with proper tools and P139 files may try to enter the firmware loader mode, to (re-)flash the firmware, that way to exclude that any corruption of the file system or similar problem prevents proper boot up. But clearly: this would be just a trial, and we would not know, where the defect originated from, nor whether it may occur at any later point in time again.

kind regards
Rudolf

Hi @Ivan_Puškaš_EC ,

Unfortunately, I don't have a Px30 here with me to dig in. However, the image suggests that the relay froze during the start-up testings.

3.15.1 Tests During Start-up
After the supply voltage has been turned on, various tests are carried out to
verify the full operability of the P139. If the P139 detects a fault in one of the tests,
then start-up is terminated. The display shows which test was running when
termination occurred. No control actions may be carried out. A new attempt to
start up the P139 can only be initiated by turning the supply voltage off and then
on again.

So on your case the display show "Power-on Test" which would be the test that the relay was performing during the start-up.
