DNP3 Communication Timeout
Hi everyone! My team is using the DNP3 communication protocol to communicate between the relay and the 474 ScadaPack. The issue we're facing is that, after 10 minutes of TX and RX, communication between the components times out. We're using a serial to RJ-485 connection to send the data, and we've already checked the wiring to ensure there are no loose connections. The wiring is functioning correctly.
One temporary solution we've found is restarting the relay, which restores communication and allows it to work properly again, but only until it stops after another 10 minutes. We've verified that all settings are correct, and the configuration appears to be appropriate.
We also noticed a difference when using the logic editor—the transmit function was working, but the relay was not receiving anything. This was evident from the RTU LED lights on the serial port, and the communication status remained at 3.
We attempted to change the Data Link Confirm mode, thinking the issue might be due to receiving unreliable links. We switched it from "Always" to "Never" and then to "Sometimes," but this had no effect on the timeout problem.
