What is the Rated Service Breaking Capacity of Schneider EasyPact EZC in a 460V System?

According to attached characteristics selection table of EasyPact EZC , the Ultimate and Rated Service Breaking Capacity of a 250-400A MCCBs are rated only at 220/230V, 380V, 400/415V, 440V, and 550V AC.

What would be the Icu (and Ics) of these MCCBs in a 460V system? Is there any multiplying/derating factors so that Icu values at 440V can be used for a 460V system? Or am I forced to find a different MCCB model? I always trust Schneider products and as much as possible, I would like to stick with the brand even if it's a different model.

Thank you.

@MayorMagna01 , don't worry, same dificulies for me, I'm French ...

For a 460V AC system, you can use the Icu (and Ics) at 550V AC data of an EasyPact EZC 250 for a EZC 250, Not for Higher rating. For rating at 400 Amps or more you need to use compact NSX.

Best Regards

Dear @MayorMagna01

For voltage higher than 440 V, our advise is to use the ComPacT NSX products.

EasyPact product are dedicated for standard application and are not tested for voltage like you request.

Thanks Gregoire. I will read datasheets and related materials regarding ComPacT NSX to see if it can fit with my requirements. However, why EasyPact was tested for 550V AC if ComPact NSX is advisable to offer for system voltage above 440V AC? May you share some advantages of ComPact than EasyPact?

@MayorMagna01

anyway , you can use EasyPact EZC 250 at 460 with performance declared at 550V but no performance for higher rating

Compact NSX has better short circuit performance due to the product construction compare to Easypact EZc who is a more basic product. The best in class on the market.. 😉

Hi Gregoire, let me repeat your explanation by my own words since I'm not a native speaker:

For a 460V AC system, I can use the Icu (and Ics) at 550V AC data of an EasyPact EZC 250 and larger so I can check if this CB can handle the calculated fault at its terminals.

Did I get it right?

Thanks!
