Scaling mission-critical enterprise software such as electrical SCADA is not just having servers work through high load. Software scalability is inevitable. However, scaling your utility business is not just utilizing a scaled software. The scalability means that all components of specific solution are able to handle current customers’ requests and gracefully meet future demands. With significant increase of IoT and field devices, fast-growing networks are facing operational efficiency, reliability & resilience challenges, thus demanding a strong situational awareness, and quick response to clutter situations that could jeopardize the entire system’s stability and availability.
Therefore, we won’t just count servers to act scalable. We must be scalable in all aspects of today’s utility business when it comes to the use of SCADA software: from end-point communication, through data commissioning and modeling, to troubleshooting and dealing with high activity scenarios.
How do you tackle these challenges? Is your SCADA system ready for the future?
How can an off-the-shelf SCADA communication troubleshooting tool integrated with your network model improve your cybersecurity and save tremendous amount of time to deal with communication issues instead of using 3rd party tools?
How does consolidated network model (GIS, SCADA, Customers, etc.) affect overall situational awareness, even during the peak loads on large networks?
If you still have unanswered questions, soon you’ll be able to read a white paper by SCADA experts explaining just that. In the meantime, take a look at our white paper: Step-by-step transition to a sustainable future.
