Maybe you could try with the old Micrologic software RSU by connecting with the Maintenance Module TRV00910 (if you have it), this was how we use to do in the past. Once you have at least one version installed, you could see if EPC can take it to the last version. I do not know if it works as I never tried myself.

In the help you can find the steps to update the firmware, the update file in installed in your PC when installing the RSU:
