Just to share to you about SNI Award Indonesia Year 2022, this is The National Quality Award of Indonesia that start in year 2005. This is one of the strategy to encourage the implementation of National Standard by Goverment of Indonesia.

Indonesia National Standardization Body (BSN) has launch the registration for SNI Award 2022, all companies who participate will be considered as candidate for the award. This registration is Free of Charges.

The SNI Award is the highest award given by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for organizations that consistently apply the Indonesian National Standard (SNI), have high performance, have the ability to manage dynamic changes and carry out the necessary transformations appropriately.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 the SNI Award, which is usually held annually, was extended by 2 years. The evaluation is also change to remot online meeting using ICT (information and communication technology) instead of on site meeting.

The 2021 SNI Award is given to 98 organizations and companies consisting of Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze ratings as well as Early Improvement which includes 12 categories, namely the Small Service Organization Category, Service Medium Organization, Service Large Organization, Small Goods Organization, Medium Goods Organization Agro Sector, Medium Organization for Goods in the Metal, Machinery, Transportation and Electronic Sector, Medium Organization for Goods in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Textile and Mining Sector, Large Organization for Goods in Agro Sector, Large Organization for Goods in Metal, Machinery, Transportation and Electronics Sector, Large Organization for Goods Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Textile and Mining Sector, Higher Education Organizations, and Secondary Education Organizations.

The trend of participation of SNI Award participants from year to year has increased positively. This shows that the SNI Award Criteria have been used by organizations/business actors as a reference in developing their organizations in obtaining sustainable performance results.

Year 2021, around 230 organizations/companies have registered.

Of these, 113 organizations/companies passed the site evaluation stage.

Of the 113 organizations, the jury determined that as many as 98 organizations/companies are entitled to receive the 2021 SNI Award.

SNI Award in sintended to be an organizational reference to improve organizational performance, because the SNI Award assesses various aspects that can encourage organizational progress in realizing better performance, including management and leadership, customer focus, resource development, product management/realization, and business results.

The Background of SNI Award :

Standardization and conformity assessment are tools to improve quality, production efficiency, facilitate trade transactions, and realize fair and transparent business competition. The standardization process is carried out starting from planning, formulating, establishing, implementing, enforcing, maintaining and supervising by involving all stakeholders.

The Indonesian National Standard (SNI) set by BSN is prepared by taking into account the requirements of safety, security, health, environment, development of science and technology as well as international agreements. Good application of SNI by business actors is expected to provide protection for public health, security and safety as well as to facilitate trade transactions both nationally and internationally.

SNI is applied voluntarily by organizations/business actors and can be enforced obligatory by the government if it is related to the interests of safety, security, health or environmental preservation. The voluntary application of SNI can be an indicator that SNI has become a market factor or become one of the considerations for consumers and producers in conducting transactions. Therefore, cooperation and involvement of various parties is needed in providing guidance to organizations/business actors so that SNI can be widely applied.

To organizations that implement SNI consistently with superior and sustainable performance, the Government gives the SNI Award which is carried out through a series of processes for implementing the SNI Award assessment. SNI Award participants can assess their internal performance using the SNI Award 2022 criteria according to the established organizational category (large/medium/small/micro). It is hoped that the SNI Award can improve organizational performance and competitiveness as well as strengthen national competitiveness in the perspective of standardization and conformity assessment.

is the basis for the program to improve organizational performance in order to increase national competitiveness.

The Mission of SNI Award: 

1. Improving the implementation of SNI by the organization more broadly.

2. Increase the acceptability of SNI in the assessment of organizational performance.

3. Building a role model for implementing SNI organizations with superior and sustainable performance.
