LPTV SIGNAL SHARING TO 9 SM6 24KV SWITCHGEARS USING P3U30 RELAY

Hi everyone,

I am working in a project that includes the sharing of voltage measurement among 9 SM6 24kV switchgears. They are all standard versions of the DM1-A option and we bought and installed 3 VTs (13.8R3 - 0.12R3 KV) in the incomming switchgear. The client has specifically asked to have voltage and power measurements in all 9 relays (P3U30), but they only have LPVT inputs. We managed to find an adapter (EMS59572) which helped us transform the VTs output into an LPVT signal. The readings were successful and we were able to configure the relay to that signal.

The problem we have now is that we cannot find more of these adapters and we still need 8 more to connect the remaining relays to the voltage signal. We found in the PowerLogic P3 catalogue an LPVT transducer (P7M12025) which apparently allows the connection from 1 LPVT signal to up to 10 P3 relays.

I cannot find any more information regarding this transducer, so I would like to know if anyone here knows how to integrate this device into the system described above, or if anyone has worked with this transducer before so they can explain to me how the signal is shared to all 10 allowed devices.

Thanks for the help!

Hello Nicolas,

This question is managed by the Protection and Control forums here https://community.se.com/t5/EcoStruxure-Power-Grid/ct-p/power-management

But to answer your specific point I attach an application note that explains how to share LPVT signals. It is written for a P5 relay but is equally applicable to P3
