Question from Alvin,
Is it logical or allowed to install thermal monitoring into the busbar compartment? does it affect the type test?

The installation of the thermal monitoring sensor in the busbar compartment must be tested for insulation.
In MV cubicles, for example, certain ranges of switchgear are prohibited for adding sensors to the busbar compartment because this no longer ensures insulation resistance.
For the LV, it is recommended to return to the manufacturer so that it confirms the feasibility.
