Energy efficiency: IEC 60364-8-1 and Energy Conservation Building Code (India) - Ask your questions about this comparison!

Not yet another energy efficiency standard! 🙄

Over the last couple of years, a couple of important developments in the energy efficiency standards space are worth taking note of, as these will be an integral part of the vocabulary and language of professionals going forward:

1. Energy Conservation Building Code 2017  (ECBC) was published and is in the process of being implemented in various states across the country. 
2. IEC 60364-8-1 was adopted as  IS 16996:2018 / IEC 60364-8-1 and published by the Bureau of Indian Standards.

Staying on top of requirements across different codes and standards can be difficult. Which is why we took some time to put together this document comparing ECBC 2017 and IEC 60364-8-1:2019 for your ready reference.
