Can anyone please advise what is the actual difference in the exported transactions report between Transaction Duration and Effective Charge Duration.
We are trying to charge back to users and need to confirm what each of these represent in the exported report.

Hello @Stevecu, thank you for your post!
Transaction Duration is the total time from when the vehicle is plugged in (start of the session) to when it is unplugged (end of the session). It includes all time the vehicle is connected to the charger, even if no energy is being transferred (for example waiting, paused, or completed but still plugged in).
Effective Charge Duration is the actual time during which the vehicle was actively charging, when energy was being delivered to the battery. It excludes idle or paused periods.
This distinction is especially relevant in EcoStruxure Power Commission (EPC) when you're calculating user billing or analyzing station utilization. If you're charging users based on energy delivery or active usage, Effective Charge Duration is the more accurate metric. If you're charging for station occupancy or time-based access, Transaction Duration might be more appropriate.
Have a good day 🙂
