To reallocate a EPC license from one computer to another one, please follow the process bellow :
How to transfer EPC license from one laptop to another
After activation, EPC licenses are “locked” to a laptop. This means the “activation key” is linked to the specific laptop where it is activated.
Many customers have been facing the problem when they have multiple laptops with EPC, but only few activation keys.
We have added a new feature starting EPC-D V2.27 to handle this situation
Preconditions
- One laptop is already activated with EPC license (source laptop)
- Source laptop has v2.27 or above installed
- The other laptop (target laptop) is also installed with EPC v2.27 or above
- Internet connection is available on both source and target laptops
Step 1: Deactivate license in source laptop
Launch EPC in source laptop and click on the “i” button on top right corner and then click on “Activate and purchase” option. Currently this is available only in the “Classic view” home screen as shown.
The packages that are available to purchase will be shown with activation status.
Click on the “Deactivate” button for the license you want to deactivate.
Click on OK in the “are you sure” dialog box.
Step 2: Activate license in target laptop
Launch EPC in the target laptop and click on the same “i” button and click on “activate and purchase” option.
