I'm quite sure the cable is the same for premium and micro. Premium can be programmed with PL7 or Control Expert (formerly Unity pro). You should be able to convert the PL7 project fairly easily if PL7 was used but I don't remember the exact steps since I have only done this once and with the help of others over 15 years ago. And I don't know if these steps include using PL7 😞
But I think Schneider could help you out here if that is the case since PL7 is a dead product since long ago so I don't think they will charge extra for it if you need it once for this and buy Control Expert. Once you have you project in Control Expert you can convert the premium hardware to M580.
There is a converter software to help with that too, Unity M580 Application Converter (UMAC). It comes in a light version that does most things for you and a full version that helps you with a couple of things more but the full version requires a Control Expert XL license.
The code is mostly the same in premium and M580 but there are some special premium/PL7 functions and the full version of the converter can replace those too with blocks emulating premium/PL7 functionality while you need to replace them yourself with equivalents when using the light version converter. Also communication with remote devices/IO is slightly different in M580 and only the full converter version help you with that.
I think Schneider did this light/full version of UMAC because they want people to contact them or a automation consulting firm to help out with this. When doing a single project, light version will probably do it where you can easily fix those things yourself quite quickly that the light version won't help you with. But if you do lots of converting and mega projects, you will want to have the full version to speed up the work.
