TM3BCEIP with M21 and M241 with M580

I have a TM3BCEIP, TM241CE40U, and a BMEP582040.

I am reading IOs from the location of M241 to M580 over EthernetIP using DTM.

(Configured TM241 as EthernetIP Adapter / Slave in M580)

TM241 already has the maximum modules connected and I have to expand some more modules so that I bought TM3BCEIP.

We have two options to read the IO from TM3BCEIP to TM241.

1)Add TM3BCEIP as Ethernet IP Adapter

2)Add TM3BCEIP as Modbus TCP Slave

But after adding the Bus Coupler Module to TM241 by EthernetIP or ModbusTCP we can't use TM241 as Ethernet IP Adapter.

(on EcoStructure Machine Expert 2.0 we can't add the TM3BCEIP and EthernetIP Adapter Configuration at the same timer, we can use either one of them.)

I need very fast data interaction between M241 and M580.

Question 1 - Is it possible to still use M241 as EIP Adapter after adding TM3BCEIP on it?

Question 2 - Is it Possible to directly read TM3BCEIP in M580 ? (Where is the EDS file ?)

Hello Kelvin,

it is possible to directly read TM3BCEIP in M580, see the attached document. just make sure the firmware of TM3BCEIP is the same or higher than it stated in the document. the document explained Modbus TCP and Ethernet/IP communication.
