Hello,
I need to migrate a Quantum rack (see attached photo) to M580.
I've already migrated the program.
In terms of connections I was planning to replace the existing CPU43412A by the board 140CRA31908.
However Control Experts raises an error saying that a 140CRP93xxx must be present.
How to do the migration in my case?
Being just a local rack (without extensions) shall I use another board instead the 140CRA31908? (for instance 140CRA31200)
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello Fernando,
I do not see a picture, but I suppose you only have a local Quantum IO rack, and you do not want to replace the IO?
Than it's easier to replace the CPU by the 140CRA31200 ERIO drop adapter and connect this direct to the new M580 CPU.
Please keep in mind that the M580 CPU should be type BMEP584040 minimal.
When using the 140CRA31908, you can connect a complete RIO (S908 coax) network to the 140CRP93x00, which should already be available in your system. As this is not an S908 system, but only a local rack, it makes no sense to create a S908 system.

Hi Rooze,
You are right 100%.I have just a local Quantum IO rack and I want to keep the existing Quantum I/O.
My M580 is BMEP584040 so I fulfill this requirement.
Thanks. Your reply has been a great help.
Best regards.
