Hello;
I had a problem during firmware update for TSX P573634M .
As shown in the video, I first updated the ethernet port. The port update took place without any problems. (TSXP573634M ETY Port Exec V6.2)
How to upgrade the firmware of Premium PLC CPU? (youtube.com)
Afterwards, I uploaded the operating system firmware (TSXP573634M_SV320.bin) via the Terminal port with UNTLW01 at 9600 baud rate. The installation was not interrupted. All bytes have been loaded. After a while, the OS Loader said communication error and it failed.
Afterwards, the TER LED on the CPU remained on constantly. I turned the CPU off and on, but the situation does not change. The ethernet port can gets an IP address via DHCP and I can connect to the web server. but there is no access to the cpu. Is there a way to recover the firmware installation?
- OsLoader Wizard : V11.0(151021)
- CPU : TSX P573634M, PV:14, RL:14, S.V:2.5
- MAC : 00-80-F4-03-F5-71
Thanks.

I don't have good news for you. I think it is likely bricked. Your experience sounds similar to some failures I have seen too. After we bricked several Premium PLCs over the years, we employed SE to come and do them to take the responsibility. Now we have replaced almost all Premiums with M580.

It is worthy of talking to your local technical support team, they will most likely the bricked status as MatthewM has indicated. If you cannot reconnect with the loader, there is no chance of being able to modify the firmware.
I was under the impression that you may be able to return the module for repair, your Schneider account manager or technical support can confirm this.

I understood the cause of the problem. However, it cost a bit more.
We had two more CPUs of the same model and same hw. / fw. version.
Firstly, we installed one of them in the rack where it should be, installed the CPU flash card and applied the upgrade procedure. The result was the same and the CPU term led remained on all the time. Access is not possible. BRICKED.
After this, we installed the second CPU module. We removed all the modules in the rack except the power supply and the CPU, did not install a flash card in the CPU and applied the upgrade procedure. The upgrade was completed without any problems and was successful. Then, we installed the other cards in the rack and the flash card and performed the program upload.
Schneider engineers must have done something wrong.
Now we have two bricked CPUs that will go to service and some learned experience. 😁

I've had similar issues with Premium CPUs getting bricked, even with just the PSU and CPU on the backplane. After I bricked a 3rd CPU (over a couple of years), I subsequently got SE tech services to come and do the Premium FW updates for us as the boss wasn't happy about having to buy replacement CPUs for the clients when it went bad. And there was nothing that I was doing wrong. Most worked, some bricked.
