Multiple Issue in Configuring Advantys STBNIP2212 Ethernet TCPIP MB TCP/IP module...

Hii,

I am facing the multiple issue in configuring the Advantys Advantys STBNIP2212 Ethernet TCPIP MB TCP/IP  modules, I am not sure is it software issue or product

I have already configure islands where STBNIP2212-V2.x with IO modules were used, the new NIM module i received is V4.0 and V3.0 hence in current backup change the NIM modules to STBNIP2212-V4.x and then try connect with standard procedure ......

  >> configuration mismatch messege popups and imedietly it asks confirmation to upload from NIM and overwrites the existing configured island and gives some "9: Subscript out of range" messege continously.. no download into island option window apear.

>> If create a blank island and try to connect with NIM using default IP from MACID, suddenly application crashes..

I have tried this with Advantys software V7.0, V12.0 and V12.3 everywhere facing the same issue.

Kindly help to findout the issue, some sample error messege enclosed for referance.

As far as I know, the STBNIP2212 FW only goes to 4 so far.  The STBNIP2311 is version 5.  It is possible that tech support have confused the two models.  2212 is older 1 port device.  2311 is newer dual port device.

Have you raised this issue with technical support?

Yes raised to Technical Support, they have advised to update the firmware of STBNIP to 5.X with advantys configurator V12.3.

However i couldnt able to locate the STBNIP firmware file V5.X on schneider website hence request to provide the same.

Warm regards

Hemant

After upgrading firmware also i was facing the same issue.

Initially we just powered on NIP2212 in my office, no PDT and other Signal modules and end plates connected like in my offline configuraion, and we were trying to download, where we were facing the issues.

Later  We physically add one PDT module and one Signal module to the NIM, and try to download the island configurations, everything works fine, we can easily download the configuration and go online with NIM..

I checked the documents however not able to find the information/Instructions that NIM Module in standalone can not accept the configuration like the way we were trying.

Anyways My issues is resolved, thank you for replies..Rack.PNG

Well done.  I think it would require at least the endplate.  I have not tried with only the NIP and no other cards that I recall, but it definitely doesn't like a missing endplate.
