M580 Network Issue

Hi, 

we have a site with P581020(around 5 - 8 years old), whose HMI showed all exclamation marks, I troubleshot it for a while, figured out CPU had ethernet network issue (both ports were the same, cycled power, no change), replaced the controller, then the problem is gone, checked the CPU with explorer, there are a kind of error "Internal MAC Rec. errors".

I posted the images below related to the error. 

it will be greatly appreciated if somebody could help with saving the controller.

Is there another device on the network with the same MAC address?  Changing the hardware would eliminate one of the competing MAC addresses.
