Hello, I hope you have a nice day.
My intention is to start a scalable M580 system, starting with a BMEH584040 CPU operating as a standalone unit, and then in the future add a new main rack with a second BMEH584040, operating redundantly. Do you think this is possible? That the BMEH584040 CPU can be configured and operate independently, without triggering fault alarms. Or do I necessarily need to use a standalone CPU and install two new redundant CPUs in the future?
VERY THANKS!

Alfo1987 this is not standard practice, but it is possible for you to do this. In reality if a CPU fails the other must operate in stand-alone mode. Be aware that you cannot install any IO in the CPU rack. Depending on the IO selected you may have to:

Hello Trinxs1, thank you very much! Of course, everything will be designed to operate with a Hot Standby system with BMXCRA31210 on both I/O racks. In the future, we'll add more I/O racks, including the second CPU rack, to complete the redundant system and run more critical functions on it.
