Hi,
I'm currently troubleshooting an issue with a Schneider M340 PLC (I'm a complete beginner), specifically the NOC 0401 communication module.
At random intervals, all the LEDs on the NOC module turn off, and it appears to reboot or restart on its own. During this time, there's no communication for about 15 to 20 seconds. This has been happening frequently.
Recently, I had to physically remove and reinsert the NOC module into the PLC rack to fix a problem where it had lost its IP configuration. After this power cycle, the module started working again.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Could the NOC be dying?

Check if there is a duplicate IP address to the NOC module, (unplug the NOC from the network and ping the network for the NOCs IP address)

Have you contacted your technical support team to raise a case for this. The advantages are that if a similar case has been raised before they can share the response, they will also run through a number of questions relating to your situation.
The firmware history of the CPU and the NOC module are worth reviewing, any updates relating to an issue causing restarts may be identified. This would suggest you perform an update of the relevant firmware.
Check the Schneider site for firmware details... (use copilot to guide you).
