Hi,
I am working at a new customer which has Untity Pro XL V8.1 installed with an old Modicon Quantum CPU 671 Processor. I will have to change some Ethernet Settings and will therefore have to do a full download. Is there any way to do this without stopping the process?
Will I have to Save the Date from PLC to File and restore afterwards so that I don't lose intermittent values?
Thanks for any help.

You are correct, the Modicon Quantum will need to be taken off-line to make changes to the 140NOExxxx modules settings There is no way to accomplish this and keep the system operational. I would suggest that you consider the following while the system is down.
1. Make backup copies of the current STU, STA and ZEF files.
2. Update the firmware on the 140CPU671xx CPU (CPU and CoPro).
3. Update the firmware on the 140CRPxxxx and 140CRAxxx modules.
4. Update the firmware on the 140NOExxxxx modules.
5. Confirm the CPU firmware selected in the application and update to the latest,
6. Confirm that the libset utilized in the application is update to V8.1
7. Perform a RE-BUILD ALL and download to the controller.
6. Make the changes to the 140NOExxxx Ethernet Settings.
7. In the CPU configuration set the system to utilize the CCOTF feature.
8. I also turn on the Diagnostic Buffer with the global settings.
