Hey all,
i had a trouble dealing with the TM241CEC24T. The firmaware version that intstalled in the software Somachine V4.3 support just the version 4.0.6.18. But the PLC that i have has a FW version 5.0.8.4.
Everytime when i try to connect the plc with my computre via Ethernet cable i got an error that there is a difference bewteen the online device and the selected one. I have tried to install the needed version but i couldn't. I have used SD card and that wasn't helpful.
Anyone is familiar with this problem can help me. I am new in the Schneider PLC.
Thank you all for the support.

All 3 options work, just remember that you set the "new" ip adress for eth1 port, that will be in the post config file, during this process.
My personal best option would be USB cable.
SD card is kinda the only option if the PLS goes currupt and you need a factory reset.
Good luck

Somachine V4.3 is old software that has been replaced with Machine Expert, so you have to either downgrade the firmware of the PLC (use the software Controller Assistant to do this), or you have to upgrade to Machine Expert and convert your code (Machine Expert does this does this for you when you open the old project)

Your TM241CEC24T has firmware compatible with Machine Expert V1.2, use Controller Assistant and a SD card or USB cable to downgrade to SoMachine V4.3 compatible firmware

Thank you for your response.
For the downgrade or upgrade, should i use the SD card or the USB cable? could it work by using the ethernet cable?

The newer controllers are new hardware revisions which do not work with the classic firmware versions of SoMachine 4.3.
The QR code on the compatibility sticker in the box says you must use a specific firmware version to take a new controller back to SoMachine 4.3.
The firmware files required are below:
M251 https://www.se.com/ww/en/download/document/M251_Firmware_v4.0.6.41/
M241 https://www.se.com/us/en/download/document/M241_Firmware_v4.0.6.41/
These are .seco files that you first need to load into SoMachine 4.3 (just close SoMachine and double click on the seco files to install them) before you load them onto the controller.
For firmware upgrading i would always recommend using the SD card via Controller Assistant and let it run through (remember that if it ends up with the SD light green constant and the ERR flashing red that it has in fact completed correctly, just turn it off, remove the SD card and power back up to complete the process).
For initial program download, always use the USB cable. From this point on you can use the ethernet once it is configured. Setting the IP in Controller Assistant usually leads to confusion because it puts a post config file on the PLC and a lot of people then come to check/change something and dont know why it wont accept a new IP address.

The problem solved. As you said the Software 'Somachine' is an old one, so I have downloaded the 'Machine Expert', and upgraded the device that is compatible with the software that I have.

I am struggling with this on M251 controller. When I try to upgrade the firmware using controller assistant tool it is not connecting.
When I use web access to disable user rights it says invalid username/password. I do not know configured login details.
Is there any other way to solve the problem?

Make a SD card with controller assistant with latest firmware.
I also had trouble with loggin in to older firmware like 4.x with newer device assistant, it is like they changed security protocol or something which newer device assistant require and older firmware does not support. But SD card upgrade should work regardless of firmware version/without IP connection.
