ERROR_INVALID_CREDENTIALS M580 HSBY Firmware update from 3.20 to 4.10

Hi there,

I am trying to update the firmware in M580 BMEH2040 HSBY system (level 2 for R IO), from 3.20 to 4.1.

I am using usb connection and Automation Device Maintenance.

The update always stops at 100% when I'm going from version 3.20 to 3.99 and gives an error saying something like

    "ERROR_INVALID_CREDENTIALS"

I have tried to reset the M580 BMEH2040 units by following these guides:

but still it won't work. I use password fwdownload and nothing changes.

I also tried to deactivate the firewall on the virtual machine I am using, didn't work.

I hope you already found a solution.

In case you are still facing this issue please use the following instruction provided by Schneider Electric:

Modicon M580 Controller Firmware (schneider-electric.com)

After the installation of FW 3.99 you have to follow the the instructions from Step 2 in the PDF.
The necessary credentials can be found on page 20.
Important is that you need to remove and add the device again as described on Page 19

On the other hand, you should check that you have the latest firmware and EADM versions. I have attached some additional links.

Hi @Kurosaki and @Ricard 

What worked for me is that I used Unity Loader to upgrade to version 3.9 and after that I was able to use Automation Device Maintenance to upgrade from 3.9 to 4.1.
