I have BMXAMI0810 analog module with 0-10v signal type configuration (0-10000 scaling). I want to check channel fault alarm or lower threshold range alarm for the same. As sensor is 0-10v type so when I remove the power plug from sensor end it gives 0 value to PLC. As per module data sheet, lower threshold tolerance range is -1 to -1000. when signal is -1 or less than then only will receive lower range alarm. Any other way to test the same or particular channel fault alarm. Thanks

You can adjust the low range threshold value up to a maximum of 0 for the 0..10V range.
If your normal working signal range is above 0 then I would just write some logic to look for values below the working range (with a time delay).
Otherwise use a 0..10V:4..20mA signal conditioner and set the module to 4..20mA. A wire break will provide an alarm.

1. Which platform are you using this with Modicon M340, M580 or Quantum?
2. Is the BMXAMI0810 configured with Topological Addressing or Device DDT? The Modicon M580 supports both Topological and Device DDT in the local racks and only Device DDT the ERIO "Ethernet Remote I/O Drops".

is it dangerous to changed polarity for channel + & - ? can it damaged the channel? output voltage from channel is 0 volts. I do not have possibility to check how channel is configurated.
if no voltage from channel , but from sensor signal in 4-20mA.
