BMX SDO 0802 Compatibility with Shunt Trip Coil
Hi all,
I need some clarification on the compatibility of the BMX SDO 0802 with a shunt-trip coil. According to the I/O module specification, each channel is capable of driving up to 0.5A.
Channel 1 of the BMX SDO 0802 is intended to close the MCCB by energizing the shunt-trip coil.
However, the module failed to perform the action, and the module LEDs are indicating the status shown in the figure below.
Based on the channel diagnostic table, the output is having:
an open circuit condition, or
a short circuit condition with 0 VDC, or
voltage overload
The shunt trip coil excitation current at 24VDC is 0.03A as stated in the datasheet below.
Verified that there is no issue with the wiring; cable continuity and insulation checks are in good working condition.
Kindly advise what could have caused this issue. Many thanks.
