Hello,
I am attempting to configure a Modicon M580 non HSBY with an EIO bus. The main PLC bus is going to be equipped with a BMENOR2200H Advanced RTU module on the main rack. The main PLC will be able to be controlled by a utility client and receive equipment statuses using a DNP connection to the NOR2200H.
In the configuration of the NOR2200H, which type of channel/s will I need to configure to accept control inputs to the PLC from a utility company's SEL RTAC using DNP at a substation and send back equipment statuses to the RTAC/Utility company over DNP? The only data being exchanged are binary inputs and outputs. There are no other DNP devices in the system. This M580 I am working on will be the last DNP device in the chain.
I currently have binary inputs (control commands from the SEL RTAC) and binary outputs (equipment statuses being monitored by the PLC, bkr 52A, TOC, etc...) configured on only a client channel in the NOR2200H. Is this correct?

[Server channel is required]
In a DNP3 communication structure:
The RTAC acts as the Master (Client)
The BMENOR2200H must act as the Slave (Server)
Therefore, you must configure a DNP3 Server channel on the BMENOR2200H in order for the RTAC to control the PLC and read equipment status.
