Currently there is no way to relinquish programming control other than by disconnecting the programming device, or cycling power to the PLC or disconnecting the cable that links the programmer to the PLC.
Some situations where the programmer are remotely connected to the site and the PAC, a failure of the remote connection may not always break the connection to PAC and cause a timeout.
Can we have a means to reset the programming device via the web page or any other means?
Can we introduce a timeout where the PAC disconnects from the programmer if there is no activity within a specific period. This would be similar to the Safety programmer. The timeout period would need to be configurable for different modes of use.
We did offer this feature on the Modicon Quantum 140NOE771xx vis the webpage. It was removed from the webpage but you could still access it if you knew the exact URL.
