PM5560 firmware file type also works with FTP method?

Hi

I found that the file type is different from what the manual described in the user manual.

Any has successfully upgraded with the FTP method?

Hi Abon,

The above procedure is valid only when you need to upgrade the Ethernet card file. There are three files you can upgrade on PM5560: 1 - firmware, 2 - language and 3 - Ethernet card. Most of the times you will only need to upgrade 1 and 2.

But we are coming out with an FTP upgrade procedure that you will only req one file. This will simplify the process and make it faster as well. This is an open project and we should release in Q2 2015. But it will be available for PM5560 only, PM51/53xx will still require DLF and multiple files.

You can now upgrade the meter's firmware using FTP. See the instructions in the Maintenance section of the latest revision of the user manual: http://www.schneider-electric.com/ww/en/download/document/HRB1684301

(though they may need to be updated as well)
